Even if you have a group of children that come from one ethnic background, no family, no child, has that same experience as other children just because they share one common aspect of their lives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, one of the things that is important is that we acknowledge that even children who come from these homogeneous, some sort of homogeneous group, the diversity of experiences is there. So, you can have black children that have different experiences, whether they have multiple identities of any sort, or layered identities, or they&#8217;re mixed race. But these experiences are happening, and they need to be legitimized,  they need to be amplified, and we need to amplify children&#8217;s and families&#8217; voices so that children feel like they&#8217;re in a place that they can learn and have the same opportunities as other children.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because we, far more than not, we are seeing the shock model of, oh you experienced racism, that&#8217;s not possible, that needs to kind of be addressed because it is happening every day to a lot of children.
