Because, when we talk about parent engagement, maybe it\u2019s the ten percent who come in for the meetings, or the fifty percent, or maybe the eighty percent, but what about the ten percent who aren\u2019t coming? That may be okay if they\u2019re engaged at home, but what if they\u2019re depressed parents? What it they\u2019re living under circumstances where they feel marginalized? Try to reach out to respect and communicate with each parent I think would be the message that we\u2019ve learned from our research is critically important, because if we don\u2019t do that, if you engage the already engaged parents even better, you\u2019re going to be widening gaps between the haves and the have nots.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The last thing that I think we have to do in being successful in parent engagement is emphasize outreach.
