Peters – short term findings

The main finding on the short term were that the goals of impacting the child’s mental health were in fact realized in all the sites. The other thing that we found was that all the sites were very successful in engaging parents in participating in the program. Not just as recipients of the program, but also decision making, all aspects of decision making. A group of parents or residents were always involved in all the sites. They were very successful at doing that. They were also successful at getting service agencies to partner in terms of working with the parents in the development of the program.
