Early years professionals can ensure safety for children in their classrooms, for gender diverse families as well, by thinking about who you expect to come through the door and expecting all kinds of different identities. Right. And really not just making improvements based on one identity but widening that lens of inclusion.
Thinking about the representations, again, that are up on the walls, the pictures of families making sure that there are diverse families represented, especially when you have diverse families in your classrooms as well, and thinking about bringing families into the classroom space, I think is really important.
Being an ally and having those conversations and reaching out to families to ensure that they feel supported even from the process of intake forms being respectful of different types of families. Right. And is it a mother and a father or are we just saying families or parental relations or guardians or pieces like that as well.
