Fetal responses and communication

I’ve noticed some patterns of responses from the baby in relation to sound, so especially in the evening when is typically a more active period for the baby.  When I lay down with my older kids and start to sing them lullabies is one of the times when I notice that the baby is the most active and I think that that’s kind of neat, so that’s one of the sound responses.

I try to communicate with the baby, when Monica feels it moving I try to feel it also, but usually the baby stops as soon as I get anywhere near it. So, I try and I try talking, but, to see if that would get it moving and, maybe it doesn’t like the sound of my voice at the moment, or maybe I’m just that soothing that it just wants to stop.  But I try and I have felt it move a couple of times, so I know it’s in there.

Yeah it does seem to be a shy baby, like it can just be giving the most movements ever and then as soon as I try and take someone’s hand and put it there so they can share the experience, it just freezes. So that’s it, there’s no more movement.

Ways that I try to communicate with the baby are by touch so if I haven’t felt the baby move in a while, I’ll try and connect with it by encouraging it to move that way.  I also do some meditation and some birth affirmations, so that gives me the chance to just take a deep breath and relax and kind of connect with the baby a little bit that way.
